Movies – Why I Believe

My Blogging101 Class assignment today is to publish a post based on my own, personalized take on a blogging prompt. Today’s prompt is, Reason to Believe.

Since this is a blog about movies, I feel compelled to write about why I believe in movies…

There are a lot of  ways to escape the everyday stresses of life – friendships, sports, reading, hobbies, pets, television, working out, drugs, alcohol, etc.  My favorite way to escape is the movies.

For those two hours, I don’t need to take action, I don’t need to make decisions,  I do not need to make conversation with anyone, I can just sit back, relax and see where the movie takes me.  How I want to feel is up to me – I can chose the movie I want to see and the kind of ride I want to go on that day.   Do I want to feel inspired?  Do I need a good laugh?  Do I want to enter another world?  It’s up to me.  But whatever movie I chose, by the end of the two hours, my stresses will be far away.

I feel the same way! Movies are a great way to escape and I love to pick different genres according to my mood.

What are your favorite feel good movies? The first two that come to mind for me are Love Actually and Babe. I know those are kind of random, but I could watch them a million times.

Ooh, tough question. I like both those movies, especially Babe. I also like Pride and Prejudice, 50 First Dates. .. I could watch those over and over.
